I finally got around to watching The Bourne Ultimatum and was very impressed. Personally I feel this is one series of movies which has never failed to provide the entertainment from start to finish. Most films go down hill after the first, but not this one. The plot was gripping all the way through and action tense and eye pleasing as always.

IMDB Scores (At time of posting):

7.5 - The Bourne Identity (2002)
7.5 - The Bourne Supremacy (2004)
8.3 - The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

I was really surprised to see the last one attain a very high score like that. It must be quite rare for the last film in a series get the better rating. I would give them all an 8.5.

What do you guys think?

i still haven't seen the second one, but the first and last are definitely nice films. They have their own style and i'd be happy to see them turn into a bond-like series with more movies, as long as they keep them at the standard they're at now.

also, i met the cameraman that made all 3 of the movies and he says that he was very unhappy with the result, as the production studio went and edited out 45 minutes of the last movie against the directors wishes, and similar things happened with the other 2 as well...
would be cool to see the full version, but none the less they were all awesome.

the last one i COULD watch again though, i was baked out of my mind and really don't know much about the story, just that it was a really action packed intense chase throughout the entire thing.

Yeah, I think I remember Matt Daemon saying in an interview that there is no chance of another Bourne movie, but is possibly a chance of Oceans 14. However, it could be the other way round. Both films are good but I'd prefer another Bourne as Oceans 11 was awesome, 12 was pretty shite and 13 was 'okay'.

Linus, you should really watch the movies again, in order, so the story all fits. I find it a very original concept in the way it was done.

im well aware, i really like the series and i definitely have to get around to watching them all in a row, or at least within a day or two of each other.

the oceans series was "meh"... oceans 11 was a good movie mainly because of the "where else can you see all these famous actors basically fucking around with each other" factor, but it kinda gets old after the first one, and thats not even including the fact that the storylines are getting progressively shittier with each film...

personally i'd say fuck oceans and gieb another bourne, but i guess theres not much we can do about that...

I think the oceans and bourne films were quite similar in the way they worked. I loved oceans 11, oceans 12 was crap and i thought oceans 13 was really good. First bourne was really good, didn't like second and third was absolutely awesome.

Watch them in this order:
Oceans 12, Oceans 13 then Oceans 11

That way, when you get to 11 you can see what the other 2 should have been. :E

I've seen all bourne films, but the first and the third a my personal favorites.
With the Ocean's movies, i can't really discuss, cause i'm a fan of casino robbing movies and so love them all... (first was best thou)

They all start with him losing his memory basically i think. So i don't think it matters too much what happens in the first two lol. Other than he was a secret agent type guy that got fucked over. The third one is only one that explains anything i think tongue.gif I might get trilogy to watch the first two again. Third one was by far best tho. Second I can't remember what happened at all.

I disagree with that. For example if you watch the second or third and not the first you don't know how he came to lose his memory, you won't find out about the part on the boat where he didn't assassinate Wombosi because his child was in his arms looking down the barrel of the gun. That is what influences him to find out about his past. You also wouldn't understand what treadstone was before it was shut down at the end of the first movie.

There was a clever reference to black briar at the end of the first one, which you will find out lots about in the third.

Regardless, if you want the full story you need to watch them all, in order. Many things are not re-explained in the sequel(s).
